We are looking for a social media marketing volunteer to design an overall social media strategy for our organisation and a specific marketing campaign to increase children book donations from members of the public.

Duties include:

• Developing social media strategies with the aim of increasing brand awareness and customer engagement
• Analysing the long-term needs of our organisation’s social media strategy and offering a report to the management, outlining any necessary changes to the overall digital marketing plan.
• Creating captivating content for an organisation’s social media sites, which may include writing blogs, articles, posts and multimedia content.
• Staying up-to-date with the latest social media trends and digital technologies.
• Developing and overseeing competitions and campaigns to draw attention to a brand.
• Create a campaign strategy to increase English and French language children book donations
• Setting measurable goals for campaigns, measuring and showing the Return on Investment (ROI).
• Liaising with the management to create a holistic and effective online marketing strategy.

Exigences

The ideal candidate should possess strong communication skills, entrepreneurial spirit, resilience, social media proficiency, content creation abilities, emotional intelligence, collaboration aptitude, and integrity. Proficiency in both written and spoken English and French would be considered advantageous.

We are looking for an enthusiastic social media marketing volunteer. You will ideally be looking for your first professional experience in the industry.

The Baobab Tree Charity is working to improve the educational chances of young people in Kinshasa, DRC.

Your help will contribute to the building of a children library in Kinshasa, DRC. You will contribute to increasing the visibility of The Baobab Tree Charity and support for its efforts in increasing the life chances of young people in the DRC.
